Production Assistant

Village Common hand pours 100% plant based candles using our own blend of wax and 100% pure essential oils.

We are looking for a Candle Production assistant at our Catskill Studio to assist with pouring, cleaning, packaging and fulfillment. This position will initially be a sort term 2-3 month position with the opportunity for a semi-permanent team position.

Responsibilities for Production Assistant (including but not limited to)

Unboxing, labeling, wicking candle jars.
Cleaning, labeling, Polishing, and Packaging candles.
Storage/Stock room organization
Studio cleaning/general maintenance
Ecommerce Fulfilment

Qualifications

Interest or knowledge of Village Common Products, Ethos and history.
Interest or knowledge of Plant based products and natural candles.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently.
Strong attention to detail
Capable of lifting minimum 50-60lbs

Additional Details

Part time - 2-3 days a week beginning August 2020.
Initially needed Part time through end of September - potential for longer term position and pay increase as a permanent team member.
Flexible weekly availability needed. Schedule will be made monthly with varying work days during the week.
Starting pay $13/hour
